Outputting books

A book can be printed or exported, in whole or in part, via the Books panel's preferences menu.

Before outputting, you can check the preflight status of all chapters to quickly identify which need attention, without having to open all chapters to perform checks.

To perform preflight checks on a book:
  1. On the Books panel, select the chapters to be checked.
  2. (Optional) Hover the pointer over a chapter's preflight status icon for confirmation of its meaning.

If a chapter has preflight warnings or errors, double-click its entry to open the corresponding document, then use the Preflight panel as usual to resolve the problems.

Panel Preferences To export or print a book:
  1. From the Books panel's Panel Preferences menu, select Export or Print.
  2. Set output options as required. For Area (when exporting)/Range (when printing), select All Chapters, All Chapters as Pages, Selected Chapters or Selected Chapters as Pages.
  3. Click Export/Print.
