The home screen is a launch point for creating and opening documents, as well as the management of currently open documents.

Documents can be created from scratch or from clipboard contents, templates and imported documents/photos. They can also be stored in projects to help manage the development of related design documents.
These iconified options offer a wide range of starting points. Your selection here affects what will appear in all other areas of the screen.
Live Docs—displays your currently open saved and unsaved documents, represented in a grid of large thumbnails. Starting your app for the first time will reveal an empty Live Doc view until you create a new document or open an existing document.
New—when tapped, the option reveals a pop-up menu for powerful photo-related operations such as panoramas, stacking, focus merge, HDR merging and batch jobs, as well as creating documents from scratch, clipboard contents or templates; you can also create projects for storing related documents.
Open—use to locate and open previously created documents in situ or import documents.
Templates—sets a folder for your templates, and imports additional templates.
Samples—shows sample documents created with the Affinity app.
Help—choose from the following:
Account——accesses your Affinity account and synchronizes with purchased content.
Settings—accesses the app's settings to tailor how the app operates.
The Options menu lets you Save, Save As and Show in Files. The last option displays your file in local or cloud storage using the Files app.
Left swipe on a document thumbnail offers Duplicate, Save As and Save buttons.
