Navigating and selecting pages

You can navigate the pages in your publication using several methods in order to view them, and then select a page when you want to edit it.

Navigating pages

You can navigate by using the Pages panel or its icon, the document view, or various commands on the Zoom Options menu.

Selecting pages

Selecting a page makes it the active page. The most common ways to select a page are by tapping it on the Pages panel or interacting with it in the document view.

The active page or spread

The active page's entry on the Pages panel—Page 1 here—has a light gray background.

The active page affects the result of operations such as Select All and applying adjustments.

Some navigation methods automatically select the page you specify in addition to focusing the document view on it.

To navigate to a page:

Do one of the following:

1 These methods automatically select the page/spread and center it in the document view.

2 These methods do not automatically select the page.

To select a page/spread:

Do one of the following:

Zoom Options To switch between current page and its master page:
Zoom Options To switch between the active page and the previously viewed page:

The previously viewed page may be a publication page/spread or a master page.

Affinity remembers the previously viewed page's position and zoom level in the document view.

Repeated selection of this command allows you to instantly navigate between two parts of a publication.
