Custom assets

Custom asset categories can be created directly from the Assets panel, and provide an effective way to organize and store your own assets.

Custom assets

To create a new category:

On the Assets panel, click Panel Preferences and choose Create New Category.

To create a new subcategory:

On the Assets panel, click Panel Preferences and choose Create Subcategory.

To store an object as an asset:

Drag a selected object from the page to one of the subcategories in the Assets panel.

To store assets globally:

On the Assets panel, click Panel Preferences and choose Embed in current document.
