About mesh warping
This filter is applied on its own layer as a non-destructive, live filter. It can be accessed via the Filters panel, by selecting it from the Distortions category.
Settings:
The following settings can be adjusted from the context toolbar:
- Choose between Destination and Source mode from the pop-up menu. Source mode allows you to set default mesh points. that can then be restored with Make the destination match the source mesh.
- Make the destination mesh match the source mesh—synchronises meshes at their source.
- Reset both meshes—restores the grid to a uniform rectangular shape. Nodes which have been added are distributed evenly across the grid.
- Hide/Show Mesh—hides/shows the grid. The warp mesh can still be adjusted when hidden (indicated by the cursor change).
- Delete Node—removes a selected node.
- Sharp—switches the selected node to a sharp mode.
- Smooth—switches the selected node to a smooth mode.
- Merge—merges the effect applied with the layers below and exits the warp operation.
- Reset—resets the mesh with a set grid of nodes available for new mesh editing.
- Delete—removes the filter completely together with its layer.
- Protect alpha—fills alpha information rather than leaving it transparent.
The following settings can be adjusted on the vertical slider:
- Opacity—how see-through the filter effect is.
