Place panel

Options

When the Place panel is shown, the following settings are available on the context toolbar:

• Repeat—Specify the number of times you wish the selected items to be repeated upon placement. Each repeated item is placed once per page, starting at the page on which you tap or drag. New pages will be added to your document if necessary. If multiple items are selected, each is repeated before the next in sequence is placed.
• Replace Existing—When selected, autoflow is allowed to change the contents of populated picture frames that are unlocked, whereas it will ignore locked picture frames. When unselected, autoflow populates only picture frames that are currently unpopulated.
• Cancel—Tap to cancel further placement of items and close the panel. Items already placed from the panel remain so.

The following settings are available on the Place panel:

• Toggle Multi-Select—When this setting is selected, multiple items can be selected for autoflow into your document. When this setting is unselected, only one item at a time can be selected, i.e. for manual placement. Available only when the panel contains a multi-page document and all pages are shown, or multiple items of any types.
• Select All—Tap to select all items shown on the panel. (Toggle Multi-Select is automatically selected, if necessary.) If you wish to select all pages of multi-page documents, tap Show All Pages first, otherwise only the first page of those documents will be selected for placement.
• Show All Pages—Tap to show thumbnails of all pages of any multi-page documents on the panel.
• Cancel—Tap to cancel further placement of items and close the panel. Items already placed from the panel remain so.
• Items list—Thumbnails and filenames/page numbers of every item awaiting placement in your Affinity document. Tap an item's thumbnail to select it.
