To select a layer:
- On the Layers panel, click the layer name. This displays all layer objects as one selection in your workspace.
To select a specific layer object:
- On the Layers panel, expand the layer to show its contents by clicking the layer's arrow.
- Double-click the layer object's thumbnail. The zoom will fit to display the chosen object.
To select multiple layers (or layer objects):
- On the Layers panel, -click each layer (or layer object).
To rename a layer:
Do one of the following:
- Double-click the layer's label and type a new name.
- On the Layer menu, select Rename Layer.
To rename layers sequentially:
- Select a layer in the stack and start renaming as described above.
- Use the and keyboard shortcuts to switch between layers.
- Enter a new layer name when ready.
The will take you to the layer lower down the stack, whereas switches to the layer higher up.
To change a layer's tag color:
- With a layer (or multiple layers) selected, on the Layers panel, -click and select a new color swatch from the pop-up menu.
To select all layers sharing the same name:
- With a layer selected, on the Layers panel, -click and choose Select Same Name from the pop-up menu.
To select all layers sharing a tag color:
- With a layer selected, on the Layers panel, -click and choose Select Same Tag Color from the pop-up menu.
