Freehand Selection Tool Drawing pixel selections

Using the Freehand Selection Tool you can draw on your page to define a pixel selection based on a freehand-drawn line, a straight-edged polygon or an area created by a line that magnetizes to image edges.

Freehand Selection Tool To draw a pixel selection:
  1. Select the Freehand Selection Tool.
  2. From the context toolbar, choose a selection Type (from Freehand, Polygonal or Magnetic). Do one of the following:
    • With the Freehand type:
      • Drag to draw a freehand line that forms a selection on release.
    • With the Polygonal type:
      • Single-tap to define corners of a straight-edged polygon. Tapping back on the starting point converts the polygon to a selection.
    • With the Magnetic type:
      • Single-tap directly over strong edges in your image. Magnetic nodes will be laid down that will snap to those edges.
  3. Adjust the Feather slider for a softer selection edge.
