Saving and loading selections

• With a pixel selection in place, display the Channels panel.
• Tap the More button on the Pixel Selection (Alpha) entry. Select Create Spare Channel from the pop-up menu.

The selection is stored at the bottom of the Channels panel as a new 'Spare Channel' entry.

• On the Channels panel, tap the More button on the Spare Channel entry, which lets you:
  • Rename the newly created channel
  • Delete it completely
  • Load to Pixel Selection—the saved selection is added as a new selection on the page.
  • Add/Subtract/Intersect to Pixel Selection—the saved selection is added to, subtracted from, or intersected with an existing selection on the page.
  • Edit—this allows you to modify your selection within the channel.
  • Duplicate—creates a copy of the pixel selection channel.
  • Load to <layer name> Red (or Green or Blue or Alpha)—loads the selection to a specific channel of the currently selected layer. For example, the <layer name> could be Background or Pixel.
