The Pie Tool makes it easy to create pie shapes, pie segments and doughnuts with segments removed. As the segments are geometrically correct, it's easy to create shapes with the exact angle you need for charts and other uses.
Customisation
The Pie Tool has several options on the shape and on the context toolbar to enable the start and end angle and the size of the doughnut hole to be controlled.
Settings
The following settings can be adjusted using a vertical tool slider:
Width—controls the width of the line using a vertical slider next to the tool's location. Slide up or down to set the width.
The following settings can be adjusted from the context toolbar:
Stroke properties—tap to access stroke properties such as stroke style, width, cap, join and align, as well as arrowhead styles and manual pressure profiles using navigation buttons.
Keep selected—when enabled (default), the new shape layer will be selected on creation. When disabled, the new object is deselected which prevents it from adopting the next object’s stroke/fill properties.
Hole Radius—controls the width of the hole at the shape's centre.
Start Angle/End Angle—sets the position of the start/end stops relative to 360°.
Invert Angle—switches the Start and End angle values. This converts acute shapes to obtuse (and vice versa) and flips the shape horizontally and/or vertically.
Close Pie—if the circle is incomplete, closes the shape to create a full circle.
Convert to Curves—converts the selected object into a series of connected lines and nodes.
