Matte

The Matte filter replaces transparent areas of an image with a solid colour of your choice. This is particularly useful when repurposing transparent PNG files.

About the Matte filter

This filter can be found in the Filters panel.

Settings

The following settings can be adjusted on the context toolbar:

Mode—choose a colour from the toolbar (Colour) or from an active swatch (Primary/Secondary).
Colour—sets the fill colour when Mode is set to Colour.
Split—enables the Before and After view. When toggled, it presents filter application side by side.
Apply—applies changes made.
Cancel—cancels changes made.
