Character formatting

Character formatting describes text attributes which are applied at a character level.

Character formatting

Formatting includes attributes such as font and size and may be applied to a single letter, single word, spans of text or full paragraphs. This type of formatting is useful for both artistic and frame text.

You'll also be able to set character attributes such as bold and italic, and more advanced character positioning and typographic control (including OpenType font features).

To apply character formatting:
  1. Do one of the following, with either text tool selected:
    • Drag over the character, word or span of text you want to edit.
    • Place the text cursor within a word.
  2. Display the Text Studio, and do one of the following:
    • Change font, font size, or bold/italic/underline attributes accordingly.
    • In the Character section, tap Positioning or Typography and adjust settings.
