Embedding documents

You can place any document from local or cloud storage into your current document without the need to open each file in turn. Affinity (Designer, Photo, etc.), Photoshop, Illustrator, Freehand, SVG, EPS or PDF can be embedded. These files are embedded documents and can be edited without leaving your current document.

To embed a document:

From the Designer Persona, open the Document Menu and tap Place Image.
You will be presented with two options. Tap Import from cloud. Use this command to access files on local storage too (On My iPad location).
Navigate to, select, then tap your document file.
Do one of the following:
- Tap to place the document at its native size.
- Drag on the page to set the size and position of the document.

To edit an embedded document:

With the Move Tool enabled, double tap the placed document. You'll notice that the Layers Studio will change to that of the embedded document.
